A great traditional pub situated at the side of a lake and opposite Epsom common.
A fantastic place to meet friends for lunch or relax after a long walk.

AN EVENING OF MUSICAL DELIGHT - St. Mary’s Church, Long Ditton
SATURDAY 22nd JUNE
Doors open 7pm – Concert at 7.30pm
This is a fundraising concert for St Mary’s Church, featuring ‘Thameside Harmony Chorus , a ladies a cappella group from Hampton, conducted by their Music Director, António Sá-Dantas. They sing popular songs in the barbershop style, such as ‘With a Little Help from my Friends’,
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Thank you for the Music’ together with old standards, e.g. ‘ Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’, ‘A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square’, ‘Downtown’.
After the interval a duo, ‘The Songbirds’ (Annie and Diane) will entertain with songs from ‘The Warring Forties’ accompanied by Peter Toth, a talented pianist. The audience will be invited to participate in some of the more popular songs.
Definitely, a good time to be had by all!

Friday 4th October - Polesden Lacey
Please note this has changed from Chartwell House, owing to all the traffic issues in the M25/J10 area
Polesden Lacey, Great Bookham, near Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6BD
We will meet at 11am in the Stable Courtyard at Visitor reception for a walk in the gardens and a picnic lunch. We can then visit the house afterwards and have tea and cake in the cafe if you wish before heading home. If you have a dog then they are allowed on leads in the wider gardens but not in the formal gardens.

I’ve provisionally booked 8 places for 1.30pm on Sunday the 17th.

Events for 2025
Tuesday 11th February at 7 pm - Spiritual cinema - free monthly film
Spiritual Cinema provides the opportunity see a good film, but with a spiritual twist. Selected films have messages that invite thought and discussion from a moral, philosophical, religious or spiritual angle. Screenings take place in the main hall in Churchgate House (behind St Andrews Church in Cobham, Downside Bridge Road Cobham KT11 3EJ), which is set up like a small cinema with professional equipment.
Due to advertising licensing we are unable to advertise individual films by name. Please contact the Parish Office on 01932 867883 for details.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT SPECIFICALLY A SINGLES EVENT. HOWEVER, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE ATTENDING, BUT NOT NECESSARILY ALWAYS MEMBERS FROM THIS GROUP.

Certainly cheaper than London prices with free parking or about 25 minutes walk from Horsley station.

We will aim to meet in the foyer between 7 pm and 7.15 pm to buy a drink and go into the show at 7.30 pm. Several members have said they will book.

Friday 16th May at 11 am - Wisley gardens, Woking, Surrey. GU23 6QB.
The aim would be to meet outside the main entrance at 11 am, then walk round the gardens for about 2 hours, with a break for lunch. You are of course free to stay until the gardens close.
Wisley gardens has several places to buy drinks and food, but if you want to save money and time queuing, please bring a flask and or a packed lunch.
Please be aware that ticket prices are £18.50 and can be purchased on the day. However, RHS members can take in one guest free, and it is hoped a few RHS members will come and enable a few people to get in free. Please contact Luke as below to see if this is possible on a first come basis.

Sunday 14th September - Meal at riverside Lebanese restaurant in Kingston
Meet at 1.30 pm at the Comptoir riverside restaurant in Kingston, 2A Riverside Walk, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1QN.
Kingston is well served by buses and trains. However parking is expensive if you come by car. It should be possible to find free parking in Mill Street and Avenue road, close to Kingston Methodist Church, about a 12 minute walk from the restaurant. The restaurant is very near to the bridge over the river Thames.
Meals are from about £14 for wraps, and from about £15 for tagines - see menu.
After the meal it is hoped to walk along the river.
